For almost every day of the year, this 1980 calendar book presents a short historical
note on some Canadian or international event of interest to gays and lesbians. All
persons mentioned are not necessarily homosexual. Some may be filmmakers who produced
an homophile document, politicians who held an homophobic discourse or personalities
associated with events touching the gay community. Here are a few examples of historic
notes: on October 13, 1307, king Philippe le Bel arrested 5 000 Templars of homosexuality;
on August 20, 1691, three soldiers were accused of sodomy in New France; on June
27, 1969, Bill Omnibus legalized certain homosexual acts in Canada.
